Home Program Information Release
McPherson County received a HOME Grant of $275,000 for the rehabilitation of existing owner occupied property in the cities or rural areas of McPherson County. The County contracted with South Central Kansas Economic Development District, Inc. (SCKEDD) for the Grant Administrative and Housing Inspector/Risk Assessment Services.
Minimum funding is $1,000 per home.
Maximum funding is $25,000 plus an additional $5,000 for Lead-Based Paint Controls.
Certification of homeowners gross annual income.
Certification of proof of ownership of the property.
Certification that the owner occupies the property as a principal residence.
Observe minimum and maximum dollar amounts allowed per project.
Cost effectiveness of investing HOME funds in the property.
Owner must occupy property three years after rehabilitation or repay a percentage of rehabilitation costs.
Other requirements as required by Grant will also apply.
