Floodplain Information

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) creates regulations for national flood-related information and processes, including determination of Special Floodplain Hazard Areas, establishment of standards, and implementation of the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP). The agency then dictates that local communities manage these policies through Community Officials. Floodplain management in the County is in the Planning and Zoning office.
