Musk Thistle is a prolific plant that can aggressively invade pastures, rangeland, CRP and noncropland areas. It may grow as an annual, winter annual, or a biennial and may produce over 10,000 seeds per plant. Seeds may become airborne and travel miles invading new areas. If left uncontrolled, large areas of productive grassland can be overtaken by Musk Thistle within a few years.
