BOARD OF McPHERSON COUNTY COMMISSIONERS

 

 

NOVEMBER 18, 2003

REGULAR MEETING

10:00 A.M.

ALL PRESENT

 

Two items were added to the agenda: 1) Notice to Township – Cereal Malt Beverage License Renewals; and 2) Signature on Health Insurance Self-Insured Agreement.  Commissioner Patrick made a motion to approve the agenda as amended.  Commissioner Schroeder seconded.  All voted aye.

 

There was no public input.

 

Commissioner Schroeder made a motion to approve the minutes of November 12, 2003 as presented.  Commissioner Patrick seconded.  All voted aye.

 

Commissioner Schroeder made a motion to approve the adds and abates register of November 14, 2003.  Commissioner Patrick seconded.  All voted aye.

 

Gerry Bley, Public Works Design Engineer and David Bohnenblust, Public Works Director joined the meeting at 10:15 a.m.  Mr. Bley introduced Mr. Bohnenblust, the County’s new Public Works Director.  Mr. Bley then presented a Personnel Change Notice (PCN) for end of probation for Keri Duree, Engineering Tech I (9/B), effective November 23, 2003.  Commissioner Patrick made a motion to approve the PCN as presented.  Commissioner Schroeder seconded.  All voted aye.

 

Mr. Witte presented two “Notice to Township Clerk – Cereal Malt Beverage License” renewal forms for signature; one for Smoky Hill Township and one for Canton Township.  Commissioner Patrick made a motion to have the Chairman sign the renewal form notices as presented.  Commissioner Schroeder seconded.  All voted aye.  They will now be sent to the respective townships for recommendation.

 

Mr. Tim Oglesby, representing Blue Cross/Blue Shield Insurance, joined the meeting at 10:30 a.m. to request signature on the Blue Cross/Blue Shield Self Insured Agreement for the county’s health insurance effective December 1, 2003.  Commissioner Patrick made a motion to have the chairman sign the agreement as presented.  Commissioner Schroeder seconded.  All voted aye.

 

At 10:40 a.m. the Commissioners recessed and reconvened at the Public Works Department where they met for a work session with the Public Works Director.  No action was taken during the work session.  At 2:15 p.m. Commissioner Schroeder made a motion to adjourn.  Commissioner Patrick seconded.  All voted aye.
