ALL PRESENT

One item was added to the agenda, Lunch Meeting with the McPherson City Commissioners at 12:00 p.m. at the Lakeside Scout Cabin. Commissioner Schroeder made a motion to approve the agenda as amended. Commissioner Patrick seconded. All voted aye.

No one spoke for Public Input at 10:00 a.m.

Commissioner Patrick made a motion to approve the minutes of April 13 as corrected. Commissioner Schroeder seconded. All voted aye.

Commissioner Patrick made a motion to approve the minutes of April 6 and 9, 2004 as corrected. Commissioner Schroeder seconded. All voted aye.

Commissioner Schroeder made a motion to approve the checks and claims. Commissioner Patrick seconded. All voted aye.

Mr. Witte presented a letter to the South Central Kansas Economic Development District (SCKEDD) supporting them in their application for USDA Housing Preservation Grant funds to be used in McPherson County. SCKEDD is requesting $40,000 that will be used along with $33,011 from the Kansas Weatherization Assistance Program funds to rehabilitate eleven homes of low-income families in McPherson County. Commissioner Patrick made a motion to have the Chairman sign the letter of support as presented. Commissioner Schroeder seconded. All voted aye.

At 10:45 a.m. the Commissioners and Mr. Witte held a work session. At 11:45 a.m. they recessed and reconvened at the Girl Scout Cabin in Lakeside Park where they met for a lunch meeting with the City Commissioners. No action was taken during the work session or the lunch meeting with the City Commission. At 1:30 p.m. Commissioner Patrick made a motion to adjourn. Commissioner Schroeder seconded. All voted aye.
